Your First Appointment
The Comprehensive Exam: This exam consists of an oral cancer screening, a periodontal exam for detection of gum disease, a visual and x-ray exam for decay and tooth deterioration (structural cracking or wear), and a cosmetic smile evaluation. An intraoral camera will be used to help us see the teeth at higher magnification. All the information we obtain will be carefully evaluated so that we may accurately assess your dental needs. A written treatment plan will be presented at your next appointment.
Your Review of Findings (ROF)
After your comprehensive exam appointment, we will explain your dental evaluation and plan for treatment. Immediate needs as well as long term objectives will be based on the goal of your receiving maximum life for your natural teeth. At this time you can discuss any changes that you would like to make to your smile. We are committed to addressing all your clinical needs and showing you what is available in the realm of cosmetic dentistry.
Preventative Oral Hygiene Appointment
At this time you will have access to the latest theories and techniques for controlling dental disease. Specific approaches will be recommended for your individual needs. Our licensed dental hygienist will clean your teeth, provide patient education necessary to obtain and maintain healthy gum tissue. We consider this session to be one of the most valuable services we offer to our patients.
