Our Dentists
Patrick J. Love, DDSDr. Love was born in Colorado and raised in the states of Colorado and Montana. The child of educators, Dr. Love has a high regard for education and has made a personal commitment to continuing education in the field of dentistry. In his pursuit of personal and professional excellence Dr. Love has completed courses presented by such dental leaders as: Gordon Christianson, DDS; The Panke Institute, Dr. Michael Schuster and the Center for Professional Development; Pride Institute, Rapport Leadership International and Mercer Transitions Group. Dr. Love received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Med from Montana State University in 1970. He then went on to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1974 from the University of Nebraska Dental School, Lincoln, Nebraska. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Love, served four years in the United States Navy. Throughout his career, Dr. Love has been committed to providing quality dental care to his patients and to giving back to the community of Gillette, WY; where he and his wife, Sandi, raised their three children. Dr. Love is the past President of the Campbell County Board of Health, has served as the Lieutenant Governor and President of Gillette Kiwanis Club, of which he has been a member for over 27 years. Currently Dr. Love is the President of the Mayors Art Council for Gillette. Dr. Love enjoys hunting, fishing, running and spending time with his four wonderful grandchildren. Robert W. Barelman, DDSDr. Barelman was born in Nebraska and raised in the state of Montana. His inspiration to become a dentist came in the form of a "skiing buddy" who just happened to be a dentist. After many conversations on the slopes Dr. Barelman made the decision to enter dental school. Dr. Barelman received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in 1973. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Creighton School of Dentistry, Omaha, NE in 1978. Immediately upon graduation Dr. Barelman signed on with the Institute for Latin American Concern, providing dentistry for the poverty stricken people of the Dominican Republic. After his return to the United States Dr. Barelman practiced with the US Public Health Service in Texas before going into private practice in 1983. Dr. Barelman has trained with cutting edge doctors in the field of dentistry. They include Gordon Christianson, DDS; Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education (F.A.C.E.), Michael Schuster, DDS and the Center for Professional Development, Rapport Leadership International, Align Technology for Invisalign Orthodontics and Mercer Transitions Group. Since joining Powder River Dental Associates, Dr.Barelman has provided our patients with outstanding dental care, and become an active member of the community. He served three years on the United Way Board, is the past President of the Gillette Rotary and currently serves on the Campbell County Board of Health. Dr. Barelman and his wife, Peggy, have six children between them and eight beautiful grandchildren. In his time off he and Peggy enjoy scuba diving, motorcycles and spending time in the Black Hills. Dr. BarnesDr. Stephen Barnes was born and raised in California. He comes from a family of dental providers. His father, Frank, is a Certified Dental Laboratory Technician and his mother, Lynda, is a Registered Dental Hygienist. Both his parents enjoy their work so much that they are practicing their craft into their seventies. The love for dentistry runs deep in Dr. Barnes' family and this has instilled in Dr. Barnes a strong commitment to stay on the forefront of the latest advances in dentistry. This has taken him all over the country for dental education classes in cosmetic and implant dentistry with the Spear Group and Arrowhead Dental Group. Dr. Barnes received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History at California State University, Sacramento in Sacramento, California in 1998. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California in 2004. After graduation, Dr. Barnes went to practice in Las Vegas, Nevada until he came to Powder River Dental. He hopes to one day be as actively involved in the community as Dr. Love and Dr. Barelman. Dr. Barnes and his wife, Dr. Ngo, and their two dogs and one bunny rabbit love living in Gillette. In his spare time, Dr. Barnes is an avid bodybuilder and can easily be found at the local gym lifting weights and teaching others to improve their lives through fitness and nutrition. Dr. NgoDr. Annie Ngo was born and raised in California. Like Dr. Barnes, she comes from a family of dental providers. Her father, Thomas, is a dentist and her mother, Phuong, is a Registered Dental Assistant. When she was growing up, she wanted to be either a marine biologist or a photographer but changed her mind after seeing how dentistry could change a person's life. Dr. Ngo received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California in 2001. In her dental school class, she was one of fifteen students in a class of ninety-two that were accepted into the dental program only after three years of college. Prior to coming to Gillette in 2009, Dr. Ngo had been practicing at North County Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry in Oceanside, California. Dr. Ngo has taken advanced training in both cosmetic, implant, and CAD/ CAM dentistry from the Frank Spear Group, The Scottsdale Center for Dentistry, and Arrowhead Dental Group. She also belongs to the prestigious Black Hills Implant Study Club. In 2008, she was given the award, which was voted by her fellow dental peers as one of the Top Dentists in San Diego. Dr. Ngo and her husband, Dr. Barnes, enjoy spending time with their two dogs and bunny rabbit. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking in the Black Hills and Big Horn Mountains and photography. |
